A few weeks back, I was in Boston for a meet-and-greet + design talk in collaboration with HGTV Magazine & TD Bank. Well this weekend I’ll been doing it again, but this time I’ll be at the Hudson Valley Home Show in Poughkeepsie – about 1.5 hour north of NYC.
Come out to meet me Saturday OR Sunday.
I’ll be giving my presentation at 12pm and 1pm with a Q + A session afterwards. I’ll be focusing on how-to get the high-end look for less by sharing my designer know-how tips + how to get a high-style look in YOUR HOME on a budget! So come on down with your DIY + decorating questions in hand.
I’d love to meet you! And Jason Cameron might make an appearance – wink, wink…

This past weekend I was in beautiful Boston to give a presentation on DIYing in the home… savvy solutions to get the high-end look for less, to be more specific.
It was actually my first time since the good ole’ college days presenting to a large audience and as much as I was anxious + nervous, I was equally excited + thrilled to meet and engage with a new audience to share my passion for DIY & design.
My presentation was in collaboration with HGTV magazine and TD Bank for their Rolling Renovation Tour along the East Coast spanning from Maine to Florida.
This wickedly awesome (said with my best Bah-ston accent) glass house was created for this tour and has been on the road for several weeks with a lot more stops to come.
My blogging pals Sherry + John of Young House Love – which you all know – kicked off the tour at the Philly Home Show a few weeks back and from there, the traveling glass ‘house’ has hit small towns & big cities sharing inspiration + know-how on ways to jumpstart a dream of renovation into a reality!

Glass of OJ? Eggs anyone?
At each stop along the tour, there are opportunities to ask questions about renovating options + have some fun playing games with chances to win prizes + money!
When the party is over, the glass ‘house’ is packed up (it folds up like an RV) and is pulled along by the TD Bank truck. You never know, it could be riding alongside you the next time you’re on the highway…
Jason Cameron, DIY Network Host + General Contractor, is heading up the tour and making stops along the way at various events to share his experience + skills with homeowners.
I didn’t meet him at the Faneuil Hall Boston stop, but I hope to see him when I give another presentation in April at the Hudson Valley Home Show in Poughkeepsie, New York. If you want details on that home show OR want to learn about the other stops on the tour, check out the upcoming dates here.
Can’t make one of the upcoming shows, but are in need of inspiration and/or want ideas + ways to make your renovation dream come true, check out TDRollingRenovation.com and follow along @ #TDRollingReno
